Ashelia at War

The year is 1109 AE, and continent of Ashelia is in the midst of a bitter war between the opposing nations of conservative, stringent Shiromori in the south and lawless Tasius in the north. Against the backdrop of this war-torn land, this is the story of the unlikely romance that left the world standing still.

Princess Marusake is second in line for the throne of Shiromori. Brash, boisterous, and brutally honest, seventeen-year-old Maru’s wild, free-spirited nature is heavily constrained by the rigid society of which she is a part as she is forced into the social role of a dainty, blue-blooded lady who will marry well and assure her father of a much-needed alliance. Following a chance misadventure, Maru finds herself venturing into Tasius—and into the arms of Aurius, a troubled young Tasian of low birth, elevated to near-noble status by means of a sexual affair with a woman he secretly despises. This is the story of them—every code they break, every scandal they cause, and the evidence that shows that the most precious of things can sometimes be found in the most unimaginable of places.

In Fair Veronaville

Length: Indefinite. Currently six chapters are up. Will have a proper ending.

Set in the Maxis neighborhood of Veronaville, but deviates considerably from the original storyline. The city of Veronaville is torn apart by a feud between the Elite and Bourgeoisie classes, under the respective leadership of Lord Consort Thebe and Master Patrizio Monty. Consort’s thirteen-year-old granddaughter Juliette, traumatized by the untimely deaths of her parents and the sexual abuse suffered at the hands of her grandfather, as well as confused by her girlhood crush on local pretty boy Romeo Monty, finds a sanctuary in her friendship with Romeo’s brother Mercutio, who is passionately in love with her. As time marches on, the two are brought together, then apart; together again, apart again, together again. The story of a difficult love in a difficult time and place, a young man’s determination to liberate the girl of his dreams from her many demons, finally setting the both of them free.

The Kingdom of Naroni

Length: Indefinite. Currently one hundred posts are up. I plan on continuing this story for as long as there exist computers that run Sims 2.
Genre: Fantasy/Historical/Dramedy
Warnings: Adult themes, language, nudity, sexual situations, mild incest (“It’s the times”), slight social commentary

It all began on the fateful night of November 25, 1154. The next morning, the heir of a Dovian duke was to be married—however, it just so happened that his bride instead chose to elope with his bastard half-brother, causing a scandal that won both the shock and outrage of the Dovian nobility.

In order to save face, the duke’s heir was quickly betrothed to another woman, whom he wed on the morning of December 9 of that same year. The night before, several of his friends—including his cousin Roderick, the second-born Prince of Dovia—treated him to a forbidden bachelor party at a local tavern, where Roderick got drunk enough to publicly declare his dissatisfaction with the leadership of his father and older brother. Needless to say, the king promptly told Roderick that he had until the end of the year to leave the kingdom.

And so it was that Prince Roderick, along with his beautiful, yet licentious wife, their newborn son, a couple of spare-non-heir nobles, and a handful of tag-along peasants left Dovia and formed in a new kingdom, nestled away in a valley said to have been abandoned by the children of the gods. This is the story of that kingdom throughout its years, from the founding reign of King Roderick onward.

Please note: For the first twenty posts or so, the photo quality is rather bad. Those were the days of Maxis skins and eyes, low texture detail, and a complete lack of a lighting mod.

This House Is Vegas

My SimFic50. Vinicio Morticelli is a mobster-turned-entrepreneur living in the town of Middleburg, New Jersey. Following a handful of ill-fated marriages, he has resigned himself to the companionship of Donatella, his much younger, gold-digging seventh wife, and his liquor cabinet. Also housed in Vinicio’s residence are his two teenage children: Arrigo, his promiscuous, cyclothymic second son, and Rachele, his kind-hearted, yet emotionally exhausted daughter. Vinicio plans to drag out the remainder of his days as unconsciously as he can, turning a blind eye to his Donatella’s intentions, Arrigo’s liaisons, and his own alcoholism… until his estranged first wife and their older son come back to town.

Lachesis' Stories

All of my stories are most definitely PG-13 at the least. They very often contain strong language, sexual themes, some violence and some minimal nudity.

Sea of Moons is my flagship storyline. It's a fantasy that takes place on the world of Dagon on the continent of Neith. Neith has its own political intrigues, terms, and a balance of Sundara (good) magique and Shadow (black) magique. Dagon is inhabited by many races from elves to pixies to humans, and many others.

SoM does not have a beginning, middle or end, but rather it has quest-based storylines that will complete a specific task or quest, but it will always be followed by another.

The stories, for the most part at this time, deal with the lives of Kerrin Draonight and Lessa Orissus.

A Vampire’s Tale is a completed short story. Kerrin Draonight is a Vampire who has lived in Morana in the Forests of Acantha for 500 years. Although, he’s traveled somewhat in the Forests during his younger years, he has never traveled outside of the Forests. For many Times of Change (centuries) he has lived in Morana and run a very popular bar, keeping to himself. But one evening-time a beautiful young woman enters his bar and he becomes obsessed with seeing her again. Eventually Lassirra Orisso returns and over the next year they fall in love. But their love is destined to doom. Circumstances force Kerrin to become exiled from Morana to escape the threat of Silanos Garnaych.

Kerrin eventually finds himself in the Sea of Moons where refugees from the war between Acantha and Cronus escape. There he meets a beautiful woman, Lessa Orrissus, who has a secret past that Kerrin is very much aware of, but dares not tell her he knows.

The Search for Nanda is the current quest and is a WIP. Nanda Ves’ton is Lessa’s best friend. Lessa, Kerrin and Xavier Quaendis, whom they meet along the way, are trying to rescue Nanda from the vicious vampire who has kidnapped her for political reasons. In the process of looking for Nanda, Kerrin and Lessa grow closer, but Lessa’s memories have been erased and she is struggling to understand visions she keeps having that are more like memories involving Kerrin. As a seer, having visions is not unusual for Lessa, but visions that feel more like memories of a man she’d only met a short time ago, is very unusual. As they move closer to Nanda, the political fight between Shadow and Sundara magique is explored and the group meet many people and beings on their quest.

This is a WIP and Search for Nanda is at present 7 Chapters with each chapter having several parts.


Lachesis’ Tales is planned to be a series of unrelated short stories.

Out of Touch, Out of Time is the story of Jonas Salinger who is a gardener for a prominent attorney during the 1890’s. His life is turned upside down when a woman wearing very few clothes falls from the sky at his feet. He approaches to see if she’s all right, only to discover she’s dead. Alarmed, he rises and steps back into a distortion, and finds himself falling from the sky to land at the feet of not only a beautiful woman, but the woman who’d just landed at his feet, dead.

As the story unfolds, Jonas learns that he has traveled through time to the year 2008, ten days before Cheyenne Cole travels backwards through time dead. While he learns to cope with the differences between 1890 and 2008, and the realization that everything and everyone he ever knew is long dead, he tries desperately to find out why the woman he’s falling in love with dies on July 10; and if there’s any way to stop it from happening again. All the while, the fear is ever present for the two of them that Jonas could be thrust back into the past at any time.

This is complete, and is 26 chapters plus a short epilogue.


Lachesis’ Falderal is my attempt at completing the simfic50 challenge. Simfic50 is a Live Journal Community where 50 prompts are listed within a table. The challenge is to write 200-2000 words, with Sim pictures, for each one-word prompt.

All of these are WIP and can be completed or other storylines added to it at any time. I have at present three different storylines running. Two are Urban Fantasies and one is Steampunk.

One Urban Fantasy tells the story of a Guardian Angel, Alexander, who, while on special assignment for his boss, gets distracted and allows the woman he is supposed to be guarding to become permanently disabled in a freak accident. Alexander’s sent to earth to help the woman learn to cope with her disability, before she takes her life.

This is a WIP and is at present 5 parts and is under the label, “The Patient”.

The other Urban Fantasy is a series of stand alone stories that involve one immortal by the name of Sébastien Baudelaire. These follow Sébastien through different times of his life.

This is a WIP and is at present 4 parts and is under the label “Sebastien”.

The Steampunk is a fantasy, as well and highly visual. Angeline Edwards has come to ask Zachary Harrison to help her find her father who has gone off to find Angels’ Cloud, a crystal that will show an alternate path the universe could have taken to a world where steam power was never perfected to encompass its full potential, where space travel and computers were never invented. Zachary reluctantly agrees to look for her father, but believes Angels’ Cloud is only a myth and a world without computers wouldn’t be worth visiting anyway. The first stop will be The Vortex of Insanity.

This is a WIP and is presently 3 parts and is under the label “Steampunk”.

John is a hot headed Detective who will stop at nothing to catch this latest killer and as the bodies begin to pile up, his fellow officers even begin to suspect him. Can John and Leslie find the murderer and stop him, or her, before it’s too late?

Summary:
Caterina Moretti moves to the small town of Woodbury, Vermont to escape her past and the hustle and bustle of the big city. With only her dog Max and a desire to start over, she purchases a charming old cottage in a quaint neighborhood. A neighbor, Gary Walsh, shows up at her door to welcome her and she’s instantly taken in by his looks but quickly puts up an emotional barrier to protect herself from his smoldering eyes. The last thing she needs is to fall in love again. He offers to help her renovate her cottage and against her better judgment, she agrees. She explores a bit of the cottage and finds an old journal that belonged to the previous owner. Upon reading the first passage, she finds that the man lived during the gangster days of the thirties and has recorded some of his life in the journal. She gets ready for bed and sees a ghost in her bedroom! Is the ghost the man who lived in the cottage? Can she and Gary find love and will Caterina finally move beyond her past and be happy?

Wheelman

*This story evolved from a dream I had and as such is done purely for fun, I did not for example develop the characters or storyline as much as I could have.

Summary:
It’s 1976, the city of Santo Poco Beach is home to one of the toughest, meanest getaway drivers there ever was. He goes by the name of T.C., as dubbed by the police, meaning, “The Catch”. One night, a routine pick up at Club LuLu goes sour. He meets a dancer there named Candy and they wind up being chased through the city by the police. T.C. advises her to stay with him until he can sort everything out but will she like being stuck with a man that breaks the law everyday? Can T.C. turn over a new leaf and tear himself free from the city’s largest crime boss? Will he want to after meeting Candy, can she change him into a new man?

Clue

*Based off of the Parker Brothers game Clue and the 1985 movie of the same name. I have also altered the storyline and added my own spin on things, while including some of the best lines from the movie.

Summary:
Mr. Boddy invites a group of shady, greedy, desperate people to his house for a dinner party and gives them each an identity of a character from the famous board game. His butler Wadsworth (played by Gary from White Daffodils For Lily) hosts the little party until Mr. Boddy himself shows up. He instructs the guests to kill Wadsworth to prevent him from turning Boddy over to the police and one of them winds up killing Mr. Boddy instead. The real question is, who did it, where and with what?

House Of Morris

*This is a legacy challenge, not a real story per se. There is no known pre-plots or characters, all is being dictated by the game itself. I am not using cheats and going by the rules, the goal is to make it through 10 generations of your sim family and make it the best it can be.

Summary:
The story begins with Adam Morris, the son of a very well known heartthrob, who has just returned from his college days. His father is upset and going a little crazy after the death of his wife and spends a lot of the day crying. Adam knows he should live up to the expectations of his father and get married and have kids but he would rather spend his days studying and maxing out his skills. Will he conform to the rules and provide an heir or be selfish and indulge in his own dreams?

Kingdom of Varuna: The Warrior

*My very first attempt at a fantasy style story. The plot may be predictable and all the what if’s and questions not answered as I am new at this! This will be the first story of an undetermined number that revolve around the Kingdom of Varuna that will span through generations.

Summary:
Seth Rhinehart is a well known, rich plastic surgeon who is a bachelor in a pre-mid life crisis. He is barely out of his twenties and finds his life boring, meaningless and empty. He has a natural love of water and goes for a swim in his expensive pool when he is suddenly whisked away to an unknown world of magic, mystery and danger. He learns of a legend which states that a “chosen one” will save the Kingdom of Varuna from an evil Lord that has taken the Princess and the Royal Family hostage. Can Seth possibly be this chosen one? Can he overcome the self doubt he has and save the Kingdom before time runs out?

Gayl's Stories

Supporting Cast: The other members of the band (Heydon Mitchell, Daniel Whitney, Aidan O’Malley); Cooper’s business partner and close friend Slim Savage.

Dark December:

Rock star Cooper Stanfield marries classical pianist Julia Wilson. The marriage fails after several catastrophic events. During the time Cooper is separated from Julia (a separation he did not want or engineer), he becomes involved with drummer Stevie Willows. When he finally returns home, both he and his wife have changed. Cooper files for divorce. His son Wyatt grows up blaming his father for his mother’s unhappiness. Cooper falls in love with another woman, Beth Johnson, who is already involved with another man (Tony Lombardo). He goes all out and eventually gets what he wants and marries her. As a teenager, Wyatt returns home after a night out and discovers his mother’s body. She has been murdered. The perpetrator turns out to be one of Cooper’s former lovers. Among those instrumental in cracking the case is Ryan McDermott, a bodyguard Cooper hires to protect his new wife.



The Other Side of the Stage:

The band leaves for a 6 month world tour. Cooper leaves his wife and their very young daughter, Rayne, in Ryan McDermott's care. Alone together for long periods of time, his wife and her bodyguard grow increasingly close to one another. Heydon has an affair with a Gibson rep, ruining his already rocky marriage to Peridot. Daniel, who has been in love with Heydon’s wife Peri for years, files for divorce in hopes of finally winning her. Aidan decides to ask his girlfriend Lakin to marry him. Cooper brings his son Wyatt and Wyatt’s band Crux onstage during Mercury Rising’s final performance.



Rafe’s Journal:

The story of a young man during university years. Major player (Rafe) deals with a jealous cousin (Gabe) who surprises him more than once, learns his limitations, gets used himself, and falls in love with someone unexpected.



South Beach:

Main Characters: Rafe Taylor; Gabe Lombardo; Tony Lombardo
Supporting Cast: Morgan (MJ) Jones; Camilla Lombardo; Gayl F; Tyler Romero; Amanda Alcaide; Cooper Stanfield; Ryan McDermott; Beth Johnson; and many others

Relationships between the residents of South Beach become more complicated. Rafe makes his choice and fights for it. Tony can’t make up his mind and pays the consequences – Cooper takes his girl while Tony cogitates on the meaning of responsibility. Rafe and Cooper’s fiancee become close and mutually protective friends. Cooper’s young daughter Rayne has a life changing encounter with Gabe.

Gabe finally faces consequences he cannot avoid. Camilla begins to drop her camouflage. Rafe is given a double-edged sword and must make a decision.

Rising Above:

Major Character: Wyatt Stanfield, Cooper’s son.
Supporting Cast: Jason and Jett Mitchell, Heydon Mitchell’s sons; and Cadence Mitchell, Heydon’s daughter.

Follows Wyatt's journey through college and his desire to rise above the tragedies of his childhood, find love and pave his own road to success as a musician. Along the way he becomes romantically involved with his music professor and clashes with Ryan McDermott.
